CAA accredits SEA’s diploma and master’s degree programs in Arabic
Sharjah Education Academy (SEA) is proud to announce that the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the United Arab Emirates has officially accredited its academic programs offered in Arabic. These programs include the Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership, Master of Education in Educational Leadership, and Master of Education in Teacher Leadership, all of which have met the CAA’s rigorous standards and requirements.
This milestone reflects SEA’s unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and academic excellence in higher education. It reinforces the Academy’s status as one of the leading educational institutions nationally and regionally and affirms the quality of its educational mission and exceptional outcomes. Moreover, it serves as clear evidence of the Academy’s capacity to meet labor market demands and effectively address the key challenges that contribute to enhancing the educational process and bolstering national competencies.
These three programs are the Academy’s newest state-accredited offerings, following its first program, the Postgraduate Diploma in Education, which was developed in collaboration with the University of Helsinki in Finland. This program aims to enhance teachers’ scientific and creative thinking skills throughout the teaching process, within the curriculum, and in all areas of teaching and learning associated with school improvement.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership program, designed in collaboration with the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto in Canada, targets current educational leaders or those aspiring to reach leadership positions, such as school principals or assistant principals, as well as senior leadership roles in school management organizations or government educational systems. The program aims to provide leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead school and educational system improvements, prepare them to assume leadership roles, and implement effective strategies for school improvement.
Graduates of the diploma program have the option to continue their studies in the Master of Education in Educational Leadership, which integrates advanced research in leadership. Also designed with the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, this program enables school leaders to drive large-scale educational reforms within schools and educational systems. Applicants may complete the master’s degree over two academic years (four semesters), or one year (two semesters) if they already hold the diploma.
The Master of Education in Educational Leadership program, also designed in collaboration with the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, is distinguished by its integration of advanced research in educational leadership. This program enables leaders in secondary schools and educational systems to motivate, manage, and evaluate large-scale educational improvement efforts within their schools or systems. Those wishing to enroll can apply to the program for two academic years (four semesters), or just one academic year (two semesters) if they have already obtained the diploma.
SEA’s Master of Education in Teacher Leadership was developed in partnership with the University of Helsinki in Finland. It serves as a specialized one-year extension of the Postgraduate Diploma in Education. This program is designed specifically for teachers who aim to take on middle-level leadership roles or improve their teaching practices. It integrates cutting-edge research in education, enabling participants to enhance their capacity for providing middle-level or informal leadership within their schools, implementing innovative teaching strategies, and fostering educational improvement at both the classroom and curriculum levels.
Notably, all of SEA’s accredited programs are offered in Arabic and English. Using a flexible learning model that combines face-to-face and online learning.
