Program Description

This first-of-its-kind specialized level six certification program for leaders in nurseries and cycle one schools is unique due to its collaboration with Helsinki University and accreditation by the National Qualification Center (NQC). It equips leaders with advanced skills and knowledge, enhancing their ability to effectively manage and inspire educational teams.

Purpose

The purpose of this program is to upskill leaders in the field of early childhood education by training them both theoretically and practically on the latest evidence-based successful practices and approaches in the management and education of early childhood at nurseries and Cycle 1 schools. This program aims to develop leaders' capabilities to effectively oversee and enhance early childhood education programs, promoting best practices and high standards in early learning settings.

Learning Outcomes

(1) Analyze and evaluate organizational culture and leadership in early childhood education (ECE) settings to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

(2) Implement strategies for organizational improvement in ECE to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.

Distinction

This certification program is intended for leaders in nurseries and cycle one schools. It consists of nine modules that focus on organizational leadership, pedagogical leadership, leading change, and childhood neuroscience and language development. The goal of the program is to enhance the leadership capabilities of participants, enabling them to drive educational improvements and effectively lead early childhood education institutions. Completers will be equipped to implement strategic changes and lead their organizations toward excellence in early childhood education.

Participation Expectations

(1) Attendance in a minimum of 85% of live sessions.

(2) Deliver minimum of 85% of required assignemnts and portfolios.

(3) Achieve minimum of 60% in final marks.

Admission Requirement

(1) University degree in any discipline or equivalent.

(2) Active position in leadership at a primary school or nursery.

(3) Proficiency in either Arabic or English language, depending on the language of instruction selected.
