These terms of website usage (‘Terms of Use’), set out the terms and conditions to abide by when accessing or using the Sharjah Education Academy website www.sea.ac.ae, or any subdomain (‘the site’). It applies to all users of, and visitors to, the site (‘you’).

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before you begin to use the site. By using the site, you accept these Terms of Use and agree to abide by them. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, please exit the site immediately, and refrain from accessing, using and/or contributing to the site.

These Terms of Use may be amended from time to time. Any revised Terms of Use shall take effect immediately from the time of publication and continued use of the site shall be acceptance of the amended or updated terms.

Information
The site is operated by the Sharjah Education Academy (the ‘Academy’, or ‘we’), having a registered postal address of Sharjah Education Academy, University City, P.O. Box 1655, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. United Arab of Emirates is the Academy’s country of domicile governed in accordance with applicable Sharjah and UAE laws. All disputes arising in connection therewith shall be heard only by a court of competent jurisdiction in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The information placed on the site has been prepared solely for the purpose of providing selected information about the Academy, its teaching and research activities, organizations with which it is associated or affiliated, and the services offered.

Access
Access to the site is permitted on a temporary basis and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the services provided on the site without notice. The Academy will not be liable if for any reason, the site is unavailable at any time, of for any duration.

The Academy may restrict access to users for all or some parts of the site, for technical, administrative or legal reasons.

If you have access to, or are provided with, any user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of the Academy’s security processes and procedures, you must treat such information as confidential and you must not disclose it to any third party. The Academy reserves the right to deactivate any user identification code, password or such related data, whether chosen by you or allocated by the Academy at any time, if in the Academy’s opinion you have failed to comply with any of these Terms of Use.

You are responsible for ensuring all arrangements necessary for you to have access to the site. You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access the site through your device or internet connection are aware of these terms and that they comply accordingly.

The site can only be accessed or used for lawful purposes. The site must not be used by you for any unlawful purpose, nor in any way that:

• breaches any applicable local, national, or international regulation,
• is fraudulent or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, cause, or effect,
• is intended for harming or attempting to cause harm to others,
• transmits or procures the sending of any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam),
• transmits any data, sends, or uploads any material that contains viruses, or any other computer code, program or file designed to destroy, interrupt, or limit the functionality of any computer, software or hardware or telecommunications equipment,
• you send, knowingly receive, upload, download, use or reuse any material that does not comply with Contribution Standards (see below).

Contribution Standards
The following standards shall apply, for any and all material or content you contribute to the site (‘contributions’) and to any interactive platforms, services or features associated with it, such as blogs, chatrooms, and bulletin boards.

In submitting a contribution to the site, you grant to the Academy a non-exclusive, world-wide, royalty-free licence to copy, reproduce, broadcast, transmit, display, and perform by all means all or part of your contribution on the site for the entire period of copyright in your contribution and all renewals, extensions, or revivals thereof.

The following is a non-exclusive list of contributions and/or uses which are expressly prohibited:
• using the site to commit or encourage unlawful acts,
• using material that has the potential to harm, offend, provoke, or attach other site users,
• mispresenting the user’s identity or authority,
• accessing or attempting to access other parties’ user accounts,
• accessing or attempting to access any part of the site for purposes of hacking,
• storing personal data derived from the site,
• amending communications which are not the users or amending information on the site,
• using material is which offensive, obscene, or hateful,
• promoting discrimination on the basis of age, gender, disability, race, religion, or nationality,
• infringing upon the intellectual property right of another (person or organization),
• distributing any type of virus or computer code, program or file that is designed to interrupt or destroy the functionality of any device, computer, hardware, software, or any such telecommunications equipment.
• no trade with or to provide any services to sanctioned countries in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirate and the OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) and sanctioned.

Contributions must be accurate and genuine and must comply with applicable laws in the United Arab Emirates and the law of the country from which they are posted.

Cardholders
Usage of the website by a Minor or anyone under the age of 18 shall not be permitted to register as a User of the website and shall not transact on or use the website.

Visa or MasterCard debit and credit cards in AED will be accepted for payment.

Cardholder must retain a copy of transaction records and Merchant policies and rules.

All credit/debit cards’ details and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third parties. User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of his or her own account.

https://sea.ac.ae/ will not pass any debit/credit card details to third parties.

https://sea.ac.ae/ takes appropriate steps to ensure data privacy and security including through various hardware and software methodologies. However, the Academy (https://sea.ac.ae/) cannot guarantee the security of any information that is disclosed online.

The site https://sea.ac.ae/ is not responsible for the privacy policies of websites to which it links. If you provide any information to such third parties different rules regarding the collection and use of your personal information may apply. You should contact these entities directly if you have any questions about their use of the information that they collect.

Terms of Use may be changed or updated occasionally to meet applicable requirements and standards. Users are encouraged to frequently visit these or other sections to be updated or otherwise for changes on the Site. Modifications will be effective on the day they are posted.

Payment Confirmation – Once the payment is made, the confirmation notice will be sent to the client via email within 24 hours of receipt of payment.

Cancellation Policy – Only in the event an error in transaction is made, students can cancel their requested services within 24 hours, where a refund will be made back to the payment solution used initially by the cardholder/customer once reviewed and accepted by the Academy. Please allow for up to 45 days for the transfer to be completed and for such refund to be transferred via the original mode of payment only. The Academy DOES NOT process requests for any cancellations or refunds otherwise.

Intellectual Property
Unless stated otherwise, the site and its contents are the property of the Sharjah Education Academy. The copyright in the material contained on the site, and in the published materials, belongs to the Academy or its licensors (the ‘material’), of which all rights are reserved.

Where applicable, the status of the Academy and any identified contributors as authors of material on the site, must always be acknowledged.

You must not modify any material, either in hard or soft copy format, whether downloaded or printed. You must not use any material on the site, for direct or indirect commercial purposes or advantage, without obtaining a licence to do so from the Academy or licensors.

If you print, copy, or download any part of the site in breach of these terms, your right to use the site will cease immediately and you must, at the discretion of the Academy, return or destroy any copies of the material you have made.

Nothing contained in the site shall be taken, construed, or considered as a grant of licence or right to use the trademarks of the Sharjah Education Academy or that of any third party displayed on the site without the prior written permission of the respective owner(s).

Limitation of liability
The Academy does not make any warranty that the information contained on the site, is complete, accurate or up to date, nor is the Academy responsible for any reliance upon any such information.

The Academy does not make any warranty that use of the site will be uninterrupted or free from virus and error. In particular, the Academy does not warrant that the site will not infringe the rights of any other person or organization, nor that the site is of reasonable quality or fit for any particular purpose.

Material is provided on an ‘AS IS’ and ‘AS AVAILABLE’ basis. To the extent permitted by law, the Academy excludes any representations or any warranties (whether express or implied), including the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness of a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security, and accuracy.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the site may contain advice, opinions, statements, or other information by various authors, organizations, or entities. Reliance by you upon any such advice or statement is at your own risk. The Academy is not responsible for such opinions, or any claims resulting from them and disclaims all liability and responsibility arising from any such reliance. Links, or content within any links to, or relating to any external websites that the site may hold, are for general purposes only, and do not constitute any endorsement of the content or material whatsoever. The Academy disclaims all and any liability to any person or organisation in respect of use of materials within or from the site overall.

The Academy accepts no liability to any party for any of the following losses or damages (whether such losses be foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise) as a direct or indirect result arising from using the site (including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of business, consequential loss, loss of data, injury to reputation) or reliance on any material or services provided in the site or accessed through it, whether or not amended by third parties and regardless of form of action.

You agree to indemnify and hold the Academy harmless from any claims, legal action, losses, or damage, arising as a result of your misuse of the site.

The Academy reserves the right to review, edit or remove without warning any contribution that in its sole discretion breaches these Terms of Use, and to take further action, including legal action, as the Academy reasonably feels necessary or is required by law. Notwithstanding the foregoing, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Academy accepts no responsibility or liability to any third party for the content or accuracy of any material posted by any user of the site.

Jurisdiction
These Terms of Use are governed by the applicable laws of the Emirate of Sharjah and the United Arab Emirates and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Emirate of Sharjah.
