Sharjah Education Academy Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Monash University

SHARJAH, 17th March, 2023

Sharjah Education Academy signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Dean of Faculty of Education at Monash University, Australia. The memorandum comes within the efforts to exchange expertise to support the professional development programs offered by the Academy to the educational cadres in various educational institutions locally and regionally.

The memorandum consolidates the cooperation between the Academy and the University, aiming to unify the efforts exerted by both parties to serve the educational community regionally and globally. It further provides for developing SEA’s professional development programs content and providing quality assurance support, as well as providing support programs for Sharjah educators upon school reviews as directed by the Academy. The memorandum also supports the strategic planning of SEA’s Professional Development Stream.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by H.E. Dr. Jeanine Romano, Executive Director of Sharjah Education Academy, and Prof. Viv Ellis, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Monash University.

“Through our cooperation with the Faculty of Education at Monash University, we aspire to employ leading expertise within the professional development programs and courses offered by the Academy to ensure the quality of learning outcomes that our teachers will benefit from during their current and future practice.” Said H.E. Dr. Jeanine Romano, Executive Director of Sharjah Education Academy.

“We always strive to enhance the experience of SEA’s students by adopting and reintroducing the most prominent educational methodologies and practices that have achieved exceptional success around the world”, She added.

On his part, Professor Viv Ellis, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Monash University, said: “Monash Education is delighted to be cooperating with the Sharjah Education Academy to further joint aims and to support the needs of education communities regionally and globally.”
